A heartfelt tribute to the loyal companions of our club who have journeyed across the Rainbow Bridge, forever remembered and loved.

Marty
Favorite Game: Frizgility
"He never successfully caught a disc at a paid disc event but did have successful catches in practice. Most memorable moments are him blowing off everything and having a blast running around." - Sarah B.

Danger Mouse
Favorite Games: Freestyle & All Crossover Games
"Danger Mouse had a LOT of personality on the field. He was sassy, barky, silly, and made his own rules most of the time. He was a true joy to have as a partner.. his passion when he wanted to play was like fire, and when he wasn't interested.. well.. then maybe it was snack time instead :) He was able to be himself out there, playing when and how he wanted, and having the best Danger Time he could have with me. I think about him every day still, the laughter and joy he brought to my life is so missed <3 " - Jess K.

Kaiba
Favorite Games: Funkey & Greedy
"Kaiba always had a joyous spirit on the field that was just contagious. He was such a reliable partner until that active sweetspot for Throw N Go would happen and he would almost ALWAYS boop it. Kaiba was my first disc dog that started it all and taught me so much. My most favorite memory was at state champs when someone handed out cookies and someone set one on their chair arm… as we were walking by he stole it in one fell swoop it was totally gone. Moral of the story was to never trust Kaiba around food!
Kaiba would also play for many other handlers… if they were worthy of his love. He decided [someone] was not and ran off the field to socialize under one of the tents rather playing his favorite game with apparently his not favorite person." - Tiffany L.

Aliyah
Favorite Game: Frizgility
"My favorite disc memories of Aliyah was her always going to say hi to the judges before each run❤️ and
her 'trotting' back to me after the disc." - Beth B.

Breeze
Favorite Game: Seven Up
"Breeze was my first disc dog, so I have her to thank for introducing me to the disc community. She loved chasing frisbees and had a natural talent for tracking and confidence in catching. We called her the Disc Muncher because she didn't want to let them go. We had a lot of fun playing together and she taught me a lot about reading and listening to your dog's mental needs and making adjustments so that both members of the team are having fun. Breeze was diagnosed with cancer when she was 9 years old and passed away when she was 11 in 2021. I am forever grateful for the time we had together." - Autumn F.

Zoey
Favorite Game: Freestyle
"Cathy took Zoey to Colorado to compete as a micro dog for a Skyhoundz event. This was a huge thing for us, a big road trip and a big comp. Cathy and Zoey had practiced hard, and had a simple, but solid routine. During Zoey's round, she was so overly-excited, all she could do was run in circles and bark. Because there were only 5 dogs in that division, all 5 had a 2nd round. Cathy had hoped Zoey would be calmer, but nope, she just ran in circles and barked once again. Zoey was a friend to every foster dog we had, and was the best big sister to both Ziggy and Brick. " - Jeff J. & Cathy W.

Abby
Favorite Game: Toss n Fetch
"Abby loved to play Toss n Fetch, but it had to be on her terms. She was like a wide receiver, she would run a pattern, and look at me like, 'hit me I'm open'! Abby also had a huge spirit. She once had her aura read by an energy healer. The healer held her hands near Abby’s body and kept moving outward, finally stopping at about 6 feet away, saying, 'oh, she has a huge aura!' Dodger
Favorite Game: MNDDC's Longshot
"Dodger's most memorable moments were that he pranced around the field more than he ran around the field LOL. Also his iconic Happy Face Discs! And Dodger Catchers.. can't forget his army of MNDDC members that helped keep his prancing ON the field! I remember one time, early in my disc dog career, that stands out more than any others as a pivotal learning moment thanks to a lesson from Dodger. It was my first Skyhoundz World Qualifier. I was playing with Dodger and Codex. I was NERVOUS. This was a big deal, and I thought that Codex might really have a chance at that World Q. The nerves were eating me up. Dodger and I were first on the field to play Freestyle and he read me like an open book. He knew something was up with my mental game and I wasn't Just Jess. I gave a thumbs up, the music started, and that dude grabbed ALL FIVE DISCS right out of my hands and ran away. He spent the entire round prancing, galloping, and running around with those five discs.. never dropping them or giving them back, staying just out of reach, and causing me to have a full laughing fit for the next 90 seconds. It was everything I needed. I didn't need to do our routine, I needed to laugh and be reminded of why I played this sport in the first place. Dodger righted the ship, and set the field for his sister Codex in the best possible way. You know what I don't remember? I don't remember if I got that Q with Codex... but I DO remember the way Dodger made me feel, and how wonderful my round was with Codex after the fact. He was the best first dog I could have ever hoped for, a wonderful teacher, and a silly boy. " - Jess K.

Zachary
Favorite Game: Toss N Fetch
"Zac loved to eat. At an outdoor event, he had gotten ahold of an entire loaf of bread, and it took both Jeff and I to wrestle it away from this 25 pound dog. We did also occasionally play Freestyle. He was quite excited one round in particular, caught the first throw, and never dropped it for the entire time. That was our one and only dropless routine." - Cathy W. & Jeff J.
