Star Jam 2026

Come jam with the MNDDC under the stars! Due to popularity, we have added a second evening this year for even more fun with your dog. Additionally we are adding a brand new game to Friday night; Leapfrog!

Star Jam is the one event a year where you can play the original MNDDC games! The full guidelines are available here.

• Competition Dates: August 7th & 8th.

• Registration Opens: July 15th at at 7pm

• Schedule:

  • Friday -

    • Field opens at 7pm (please do not arrive earlier than 7pm).

    • Games: LeapFrog & LongShot

  • Saturday -

    • Field opens at 5:00pm

    • Games: Freestyle, Catch 22, MNDDC Toss & Fetch

Additional Premium Information

Awards and Divisions

• Novice, Intermediate and Pro divisions will be offered for all games and freestyle. There will also be overall awards given to the top 3 teams in each division with the highest overall score at the end of the 2nd day. An overall junior team and an overall small dog team award will also be given unless the junior or small dog places in the top 3 overall, then the award will be given to the next highest ranked junior or small dog. Additional "fun" awards will be given at this event and will be announced day of.

Club Cup

• Club cup points will be offered for all games and freestyle at this event. However, because Star Jam is two half day events, it will be combined as a 1 day event in the club cup calculations.

Divisions

• Although we won't be playing UpDog games at this event, we would still recommend your overall suggested UpDog division be used at Star Jam. To find your overall division, we recommend the tool "More Data for UpDog Games". This is a free Chrome extension that only works on your Chrome web browser on a computer. If you are not able to use the extension, the percentile that was used to calculate the recommended divisions is as follows;

  • Top 90-100% - Pro

  • 89-55% - Intermediate

  • 54% and below - Novice

Cost

• The cost of the event helps offset our costs for the field rental, paint, event fees, awards and more. The price is the same regardless of division. However, we offer a member discount per run if you are a 2026 member. Price per run for this event is set as the following;

  • Freestyle - $10 member / $15 non-member

  • Games - $10 member / $15 non-member

  • An additional discount if you sign up for all games + freestyle is offered at this event:

    • $45 member / $70 non-member
