MN's Fastest Dog

This was a great event and really showed another side to some of the great dogs on the field. Who knew that some of these dog were capable of such great speeds. Small Dogs Times are 10 yard times. 2 stop watches were used to time the dog for 10 yards. The times were averaged and rounded down to determine the time. MPH are prelim rounds, a radar gun was used to determine speed. Fastest Chase: 1st Scooby with Clara .83 seconds 2nd Zoey with Jeff .98 seconds 3rd Abby with Jeff 1.01 seconds Fastest Recall 1st place Penny with John 1.04 seconds 2nd Mindy with Clara 1.12 seconds 3rd Zac with Cathy 1.24 seconds Fastest Dog: Fastest Chase 1st Petey with Abby .70 seconds 2nd Snickers with Tim .73 seconds 3rd Max with Diane .75 Fastest Recall 1st Max with Diane .70 seconds 2nd Layla with Sara .72 seconds 3rd Rocket with Brian .76 seconds. Fastest dogs on the gun: Layla 39 mph Rocket 38 mph Petey 37 mph Frankie 36 mph Nova 34 mph Jack 34 mph buddy 33 mph Grady 33 mph Max 33 mph Layla was clocked over 37 MPH on all of her prelim runs without a handler throwing error. She is a very consistantly fast dog. She was clocked at 39 MPH on both her chase and recall.
