State Fair demo!!

Location: Pet Center

Demo times: 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm & 5pm
Demo teams should arrive by 8am. Please be on time. You can drop off dogs/crates & then go park in the Tiger lot. Everyone will help set up & tear down. You will have some free time between shows to walk the Fair & we will take turns watching the dogs while you get your Fair fix. Remember this is an official MNDDC event & you are asked to wear your shirts. I can always bring extra for a few of you. Let me know if you need one.

Location: Enter off Como Ave just past Lot D (Transit Way Service Road-Randall). You will need to present your ticket & tell them you are doing a show by the Pet Center for the MNDDC. They will direct you. You all should have my cell# if you need to call me.

It's a good idea to bring a small cooler/bag for yourself for water, etc., chairs, water bowl for the dog, poop bags. Pretty much whatever you take to a comp. Any questions, let me know.

Laura and I are both interested in this!!

How has this worked in the past as far as crating dogs and how you get your dogs in & out of the fair? Are you able to check out some of the fair before or after the demo?

Yes, good questions Dalen. This would be my first year bringing a dog and I will probably walk around in between shows. Is there crating inside the Purina building?

We would bring canopies just like a regular demo & set them up outside the building. They will give us parking passes & you can unload right by the field area. You will have to move your vehicle to a parking lot close by when you are done. You can walk around the fair between shows. We do get tickets to get in & enter a "special" entry only for vendors, etc

I hope that all club members will sign up to come. You can help with set up & music, etc if you aren't going to play a dog. This is a big deal demo for us.

As of right now, Laura and I will be able to attend with Lakota and Mikko. If no more demo teams are needed, we would still be available to help out.

As of right now Lakota and I are NOT demo ready (don't listen to what Dalen says he is too nice). We will see what we are like in 2.5 months but don't count on us demoing for sure. Lakota and I could sell discs, pass out fliers etc, and spread our disc Pitty pride.

Laura, many of our demo or show formats include a "getting started" dog or 2, to show the audience how we engage our dogs who are new to disc. You would be awesome for that if you want to. But we would love to have you guys there spreading the Pittie love.

We also like to get in some breeds other than BC and Aussies since those are the two most associated with disc doggin. You guys will be ready!

If you bring Lakota I will bring Dodger! We can represent the non-herding, newer to the sport dogs!
